SWISS O.G. was born In Toronto Ontario June 16th 1982, the same day as his favorite rapper Tupac Shakur. It's as if he was destined to live his dream of being a Hip Hop artist. Growing up in Parkdale, one of the hardest partz of Toronto, Swiss lived a rough life and had dreams of taking care of his family. Being the younger of 2 sons to a single mom, he wanted a better life and knew he was going to get it. This is what motivates him every day.
At the age of 13 Swiss started hustling to help provide for the family, learning quick what it took to survive the streets. He began by beat boxing for his friends while they would freestyle. It wasn't long until Swiss created a style of his own and also started freestyling, quickly picking up the skill from talented friends.
In 2009, Swiss started an independent label and he signed his first artist who was an r&b singer and things were going well. In 2015 his father passed away and after being on the run and not knowing if he would make it to his father's funeral, Swiss wanted a fresh start, so he started DSD1 Records (Down Since Day 1) and has been building his music inventory. He has done collaborations with some of his favorite artists and industry mentors such as Sticky Fingaz, YukMouth, Spice 1, Daz Dillinger EdiDon from the Outlawz and Roscoe from the Tha Dogg Pound. Aside from being a Hip Hop artist, with hard work & the belief of investors, Swiss is now CEO of his own label DSD1 Records. He will be looking to take on new artists to the label in the near future but for now he is focusing all his energy on building his label, helping his family, giving back to his community.
Swiss has many songs featuring big name artists like Sticky Fingaz from Onyx, WC from Westside Connection, Daz Dillinger from DPG, Roscoe from DPG, E.D.I Mean and Young Noble from the Outlawz, Tha Realist from Death Row Records, YukMouth, Layzie-Bone, Spice 1, B-legit and Mac Shawn.
